Randy Golden has leveraged his
years in the industry to achieve the goals of his clients. Since inception GBS has served clients that included marketing
research groups and distributors seeking to gain the distribution rights of brands that they had not previously carried. Those
who have worked with GBS include;
L&F Distributing and Del Papa Distributing - Represented both ABI distributors in the purchase of the Crown,
Pabst, Mark Anthony, and ABI portfolios from Elder Distributing in Victoria, Texas. GBS negotiated on behalf of both clients
to obtain brands not previously carried and distributed by competitive distributors. During these negotiations completive
distributors were also bidding on the business and my clients offers had to be strategically managed on both the seller as
well as with the suppliers.
Arkansas - Representing Premium Brands in
an effort to negotiate a joint venture with a local competitive distributor. In lieu of a joint venture Premium purchased
the local Coors Distributor that included a portion of the Pabst portfolio and Red Bull. This acquisition included negotiating
the buy sell agreement, negotiating and gaining approval with all the suppliers, and assisting in the transition of the volume
to a new warehouse for 30 days post-closing. This acquisition increased Premium’s volume my 80%.
Brands/Benton County, Arkansas- GBS worked
with Premium Brands to gain approval form suppliers for distribution rights into Benton County. This county was previously
dry and upon voting wet, 95% of the volume that was distributed in Fayetteville approved Premium for Benton County.
This was achieved despite numerous other distributors seeking approval and included meetings and presentations to MillerCoors,
Crown, Gambrinus, Diageo, and Heineken. Once all licenses have been awarded it is anticipated this transaction will result
in a 50% increase in Premium’s volume
Research Group - Advised clients for the Coleman
group relative to the beer industry. GBS advised clients regarding trends and projections on brewery activities and distributor
consolidation to allow for more educated investments within the industry.
AlphaSights- Advised clients for investment purposes relative to current industry trends and M&A activity. GBS
was able to offer insights into industry trends that would not have been available through current publications.
Management- GBS offered insights to specific
industry mergers and acquisitions and how these global transactions would impact the US beverage industry.
FINITI Marketing Group - GBS has advised regarding a national distribution system for a non-traditional beverage
product within beer distribution network. Efforts have included the establishment of presentations for the introduction of
FINITI products, to a national distribution plan with specific distributor information and geographic coverage.
Dallas Distilleries, Inc. - GBS has counseled with the ownership of Dallas
Distilleries relative to their start up plans in developing a Texas based spirit brand. We have specifically been involved
in advising relative to both wholesale and retail distribution efforts and opportunities presented during introduction.
